Gacha lovers, come check us out!
Male & female fashion from brands you know and love, including indie stores that are rising to the top.
7Event is monthly, occurring every 5th of the month and ending on the 25th.
We have 10 sponsors this round & a fan favorite I love, Carol G., is a featured sponsor!
I'm happy to be able to blog a featured sponsor, showcased in this first post covering this event. She has been creating complete outfits fashion for years, Brii Underground Wear.
One of our designers, Mai., has passed away, around January 25, 2019.
We are remembering her, Maite Sarrasine, with a memorial setup at her booth at 7Event. Although this would have been her first time participating in this event, she had made connections with most of the people in the event, including the event owners.
We are remembering her, Maite Sarrasine, with a memorial setup at her booth at 7Event. Although this would have been her first time participating in this event, she had made connections with most of the people in the event, including the event owners.
She was only 32 and still had so much more to give to the people who surrounded her, both in real life & Second Life.
She was known as a loving, caring woman, who enjoyed helping people she met.
Her talents as a graphic designer, producing virtual cosmetics and digital art, were blessed upon us with her creativity and beautiful mind.
The memorial will stay for the duration of this round.
Let’s celebrate her life by filling our hearts with love and helping people who are in need, like she did in her life.
I personally feel it's the best way to carry on the memory of her, in good spirits instead of sorrow.
If you're having trouble grieving, pour yourself into creativity, communicating with friends, helping people, or taking a walk to clear your thoughts.
Credits start below the pictures. Thank you for taking the time to read my article on Maite and the event. If you'd like to view her SL photography, click here.
Much love, Kytteh Wytchwood in-world.

ReplyDeleteFisrt of akk, I can see that you did not know Maite at all.
Yes, she was known as an incredible person, but the information that you put there is incorrect.
And I confess I did not bother about the memorial. Maite, really was a wonderful person. But what bothered me was you reporting how she passed away.
Besides not being true, I find it disrespectful at best.
As Maite's RL friend, I do not approve of this type of publication. I am even grateful for the "homage", but I would like you to have as little information as possible about Maite.
Thank you
Hi Kaike. I went back to her profile tonight, to see if anything had been added since I looked at it on February 3rd. Someone accessed her account, adding a real life picture and including real life information. From this, I changed "twenties" to 32 since that was added in-world. I removed cause of death, after being harassed, manipulated(tried to but didn't succeed) and dominated in a conversation tonight with 7Event owner, SavaSP Resident. He informed me that wasn't how she died. My information came from 2 participating designers, 1 who knew her, 1 who knew her SL partner. I suggest asking for her memorial to be taken down as people will have questions and may ask event staff. I did it because I thought she should be mentioned. Her store name stayed on the event flier, even though she passed before the event started. The flier could have been modified. I think it's strange for her memorial to be at a shopping event. It should be at a separate sim. SavahSP's reason about why it's at her booth because she paid for it and 30 designers wanted it there, isn't a good enough reason. I'm sad your friend passed too soon. I hope you allow yourself to grieve, it really helps with coping. Much love, Kyt.
Deleteis it seriously that this event is promoting at the expense of a person wanted by many and who is no longer in this world?
ReplyDeleteShe was not mentioned in the advertisement description on Flickr. They use FB but I don't, so I don't know if she was mentioned there. Her store name is on the event flier. It should have been modified to remove it but they hadn't done so. According to 7Event owner, SavahSP Resident, the memorial for her is there because she paid for it and 30 "shopkeepers" wanted it there. So the blame rests upon the owners, as they could've denied the multiple requests. The owner told me those "shopkeepers", and owners were her friends. So that's why they feel entitled to do that.
